He was still unsure about the mass so I requested an X-ray be done (since he said it should tell him what it is exactly). After a half-hour of waiting for it to be developed, he determined that it was not an impaction or a tumour. It is a calcified mass, perhaps an egg that was aborted but it is not located in the bowels. It is, however, displacing the bowels and other organs due to its size and positioning in the body. The only option is surgery. Isis will have her operation on Friday morning. She may or may not be able to produce offspring after this procedure but that doesn't matter. I love her a lot and I want to give her the best chance for survival. The good news is that she has gained over 20 grams in less than 2 weeks. She is looking very healthy. | ||
