Hi everyone,
Sorry these aren't Corns, but I found this interesting so thought I'd share. I picked out 3 Captive Hatched Eastern Milks last Wednesday from a Clutch of 7 from an injured mother that had been dropped off at a local vet clinic, then turned over to a local rehab. She laid her eggs a few days after being brought in for rehab and is still in recovery at the rehab place. Wish her luck. I've been wanting an Eastern Milk, but in NY they are native, so illegal to breed/sell. I didn't want to take one from the Wild, so this was just the perfect opportunity. These babies have never known the wild. I didn't reaize when I picked them out that one had a patternless belly. I can't breed them legally, and am not even sure if the patternless belly is any big deal, I just thought it was neat. The other two have normal checked bellies. Here are some pics of the babies, no names yet...

Here is the one with the white belly, he/she is also the smallest one, and the most nippy of the three..

Here it his/her top side...

Here is the first baby that I picked out (just happened to be the first one I grabbed out of the tub and I fell in love with him/her immediately)

Here is a closer shot of his/her head marking. None of them had typical Eastern Milk head markings, they are supposed to have a distinct Y or V on their head.

This was the second one I picked out. They are tiny, but not bad considering the eggs hatched at 30 days...

There is the head pattern for this baby. My diamond isn't really as big as it looks, did I mention these babies are small?

Hope you liked the pics! We don't know for sure whether the mom was found in the wild or if she was in captivity. That was one reason the babies have not been released, no guarantee they are pure Easterns. Despite the odd head markings and one patternless belly, they look to be pure Easterns to me.
