3 of my snakes get them, but only because the humidity is low in the type of cages they are in. The snakes always use them when they're close to shedding, but not usually any other time.

If yours never have problems shedding, I doubt that they would make use of the humid hide. Though, my vet has said that the greater variety of areas the snake has to choose from be it warm/cold/dry/moist, the healthier they are going to be.
