I'd go with corns. They're very hardy, no special humidity, always eat, endless colors to choose from, stay a decent size, not too big, very docile. My second choice on the list would be the children's/spotted python. From what I hear they are wonderful animals, stay small, easy to care for, but I've never had one to offer personal experience.

IF your experienced with snakes get which ever one you really want. IF your decesion is based on from novice to more experienced, then I'd go with in order, 1.Cornsnake, 2.childrens/spotted python, 3.Ball python, and then 4.Rainbow boa being the one on the list with the most specialized care and upkeep. Here is a photo of one of my adult cornsnakes. This is an 02 Butter cornsnake, at around 39-40 inchs.Take care,
