One he is probably trying to get out of the direct light. He is probably looking for a shady area. Also he could be digging under his bowl because it is moist under there, from the water overflow. This is normal behavior for box turtles. I would suggest putting a shady area in the cage possibly a plant or some type of enclosure. [ Hide Replies ]
