Posted by: JM at Wed Sep 1 10:25:41 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by JM ] It will only latch on if it is a feeding strike~ never had a corn do this (ball python once) mostly if a corn snake is going to hit you it's a defensive strike and they just take a nip and back off~ either way a little cool water does the trick. IF the snake actually strikes and hangs on run him under a little cool water~ will make him lose his appetite and let go! If the snake just took a defensive strike at you and broke the skin just run it under a little cool water and antibacterial soap to clean any cuts and wash out any teeth that are left (Don't panic~ TINY teeth, hurts the snake more to be without them than it does for you to take the hit) Maybe a little neosporin if you tend to infect easily~ otherwise you'll be fine.
