It is almost impossible to know where the snake may have gone. He is almost certainly hiding somewhere (if he wasn't, you probably would have found him already). I haven't lost a snake yet, but the lost geckos I have had always just seem to pop up when I am not looking for them (i.e. running across a wall while I am trying to eat breakfast). There are a few tips for finding and/or trapping lost snakes, so search the forum and I'm sure you will get lots of suggestions.

You said that you lost the snake while you were feeding it. That means that leaving a mouse out for him will probably not attract him. What is his usual schedule for getting rid of the mouse he just ate? He is going to have to get rid of it one way or the other, and that might give you a clue to his location - let your nose be your guide. You can also sprinke powder around the edges of the walls and across doorways - if he crosses the path he will leave a mark that could let you at least know what room he is in.
