Lets think here for a second. An aggressive ball thinks you are going to kill and eat it or something to that effect. I would think this animal is stressed. "A calm ball indicates that it is comfortable in it's surroundings" Lets stop here. So an Agressive ball would not be comfortable and therefore making it a stressed animal" ok... "not to mention that some hatchlings are quite nippy and "calm" down as they grow older." Very true! They are not yet "comfortable" with everything around them. Again it comes to survival. The animal is stressed. Never did I say you couldn't take the time to calm the animal. Sure a little bit a day isn't going to be real hard on the animal then again it's not going to be light either. I'm basing this on experiences with all kinds of different animals including ball pythons. A ball doesn't have to be aggressive to be stressed. Many just ball up. This is not ment to be a mean post. I'm just trying to get my point across. Everything is different, reacts different, different personallity and so on. Some are best left alone, not handled.
