Posted by: joshhutto at Thu Sep 9 00:57:30 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by joshhutto ] i've been keeping and breeding snakes for over 15 yrs and never had the first mite in my collection, until now. I know there are tons of home cures that have unknown long term side effects. i've read that alot of people have used black knight in the past but now can not find it. Is there a reason for it's disappearance? also has anyone used provent-a-mite? and if so how did it work for you. as of right now the mites are in a very low number, i've only found 2 on one snake but the other females were kept in the same bag durring transport. the animals are being quarentined to lower the risk of transfering the mites to the rest of my colony. any help will be appreciated. i do not want to use lice shampoo as the side effects are completely not known.
