the coloration is completely different between the species. Easterns typically have a dark brown to black base color on the shell with yellow/cream to orange blotches on it. Three-toeds have a tan base color with either no markings or orderly markings similar to the radiating dashes of an ornate but much more subdued.



Their skin color ranges are different as well.
