Shelter/Hide box ideas for large burm

I've tried many different items as hideboxes and all have failed thus far. I liked the idea of using a garbage can lid but my snakes are too big to fit under it. I'm asking what you use as hide areas for larger (9 ft) burms. I'm looking for something with all the features of a good shelter; form fitting, non-absorbant, cheap, common, and functionable. Any ideas would be appreciated.
