For some reason, keepers think that snakes have to eat on schedule every time we throw food at them. Well, they don't have to eat every time we try. Sometimes they skip a meal. And during some seasons, snakes will go off feed altogether. For example, now. Most Cal kings will stop eating around now expecting the Winter cooldown. Usually this is the case for a snake that is at or older than a year. Babies will often eat through the year without stopping.
Make sure temps are correct, and this includes not too warm. If the snake continues not to feed in the next 3 weeks and isn't in a shed cycle, cool the cage to 60-ish deg F and darken it. Give the snake fresh water but don't feed it. Warm it back up in Feb. ----- Mark
