Until I read an article on a website (one of the larger Panther Breeders, I don't remember which one) and it said to spay them down (I assumed that they meant to spray just over their head so it will mist down on their face) for at least one full minute to stimulate drinking. It also mentioned giving them a show outside with a mister or hose with a mister for 20 minutes once a week to help maintain their hydration levels. Since I have been steadily misting them for over a minute twice a day, I have noticed all of them drinking a great deal more plus occasionally they will roll their eyes around a lot which the website mentioned that they apperantly do this in the wild to help clean their eyes of any dust or debris that may not have fallen out with normal eye moisture. The 3 out of 4 still act like they don't want to get wet during the 1st 10-15 seconds of spraying but then they settle down and begin drinking. After a week of doing this so far I have noticed less stressing when I begin misting, my male Panther actually seems to relax to his pretty blue after the a full minute of spraying. | ||
