Hey, most of my males are ready to breed at 6 months. I usually try to wait until they're closer to 9 months. If you try to breed them at an earlier age, most of the time they really don't know how to tackle the deed at hand. Also, my females prefer the biggest, baddest males to mate with, and sometimes they will not be receptive to the smaller inexperienced males.
