If I'm not mistaken, this is a place where people who want answers to questions they might have can go and "LOOK FOR THEM," right? Everybody starts somewhere, and we were all beginners at one point and to [bleep] at him for "asking for help" and "being a novice" is insanely immature.
God forbid somebody ask for information and help about chameleons in a chameleon forum, huh?! And what nerve you have, LordoftheLizards, for being a beginner! Jesus Christ, people! Give him a friggin break, all he did was quesiton that could have been answered in 10 words or less and all you guys can do is go ape [bleep], basically because he's new to the species. It would have taken you less time and energy just to answer the guy!
Just grow up, the both of you. No need for your assh*le behavior here. There was absolutely no need to respond to his post if you didn't have an answer for him. Yes these sort questions and other similar questions are asked everyday by novice keepers, but so what?
"Proper Lighting?" "Where to get worms?" "HELP! CHAME NOT DRINKING!!!!!" Who cares. They come to this place for help, and it's pointless not to help them. "Go get a book" ? Maybe they already have and need more information. And saying that with out giving any additional help is just a waste of your time and the person who posted the question's time.
And to answer your question, LordofTheLizards, it's about 4" to 5.5". I've seen wild caught males at shows that looked to be about 6", but the average in captivity is around 5. Veileds don't reach they're maximum length in captivity, usually.
Now everybody just calm the f**k down.
