ReptiSun 5.0 fluorescent tube bulbs emit measureable amounts of UVA and UVB in the proper part of the spectrum for about 6 months according to independent lab testing. They are the classic good safe bulb. I don't know about the RepiGlo bulbs. All bulb brands vary widely in what they produce, and most OTHER fluorescent tube lights are not as good as the ReptSuns. Don't believe what you read on the box.
