We survived the storm! We just got power back in our neighborhood yesterday afternoon (6 days without power). Our generator is still broken and leaking. Thanks CheriS and Triad for your responses, however I didn't get to read them until yesterday. I was going nuts trying to find somewhere with internet access during the last few days.

My husband sent me and the kids to my sister's house a few miles more inland. Her house is twice the size as ours and made of brick. I was able to take the bd's with us. My husband stayed in our house with the rest of the critters. The bd's were restless after the storm passed. I was able to take them out into the sunshine a few times since then. The weather has been nice compared to this summer and to when we were without power after Hurricane Erin.

We did have some roof damage during the storm. Our carpets got wet. There are SO MANY trees down all over. My sister's house did very well. The house next door to her had 3 trees fall on it. Areas near water were devastated.

We are under a boil water notice, and a curfew. Things are getting pulled back together, thanks to area agencies, and SO MANY agencies from all over the country and even Canada.

We still don't have air conditioning, but I have the bd's lights on (YEAH!!!). They seem to be no worse for the wear.

Thanks to everyone who prayed for us.

(I have included a link to the Pensacola News Journal photo gallery for anyone interested in seeing pics of what the storm did.)
