Ummm, yeah, you wasted your money, sorry. If you wanted to build your own racks to save money, then you HAVE to use heat tape, as UTH's are a STOOPID priced. You're gonna blow your budget if you use UTH's to heat your bins. One UTH is $25 (that's the equivalent of 8 feet of heat tape, or 5 racks side-by-side) and you bought 2? that's 10 bins' worth of heat tape and only 2 bins UTH heat. Did you keep the receipt?....
