Try day-old-chicks. They are much cheaper than rodents at £5.00 for 200 and my Malaysian (Buffy) LOVES chicken! She will take mice, rats and hamsters after picking with her food for a while, but with chicks- WHAM!

PS Don't worry about the poo smell it's no worse than with rodents.

PPS If you do try chicks, keep your fingers out of the way.
