Hi there james,
In my experience, rodent hair will eventually clog virtually any pump out there on the market...Personally, i think the pump thing will end up being a waste of money, as it will probably burn out soon after getting it...
One option that some people use is a shopvac(wet/dry vac) to suck the water out; there are even models now with a hose connection, where you can direct the waste outside without having to lug a big, heavy vaccum full of poo water outside to dump it...
Another option, which I am currently setting up for a new acquisition, is to install a bulkhead drain in the water tub, where you simply drain the water down into a bucket, which is then easier to carry(and safer) to the toilet/slop sink/outside, etc... I posted some pics of the setup a couple of days ago, just look down for the post entitled "for all you salvator keepers"..
I hope this helps a bit, but like I said, I have had bad luck using pumps to clean out monitor poo water, as he hair will eventually clog up the turbine and burn out the motor... just what i've seen firsthand, i'm sure others may use it without incident... Cheers, have a good one,
