My CB 2002 Borneo

I have a CB 02 Borneo that was very tricky to feed in the first year i had him- he must of only eaten 4 or 5 meals. I have now found a method that he is happy with and he is eating 300g medium rats weekly to try and get his weight up. he is 32 inches long and weighs 1075g.Is one rat this size a fine to get him fattened up? What would be the ideal size/weight for a 2.5 yr old borneo?
