The critter keeper I had and planned to keep the hatchling in worked great for him, but not for his tiny crickets. They escaped through the airholes. I went to the dollar store and bought a clear plastic tub and cut the middle out of it's lid. Then off to the fabric store where I found lots of screen-like material out for halloween costumes. (Hence the spiderwebs!) They have some year round for wedding dresses and stuff, too. The material goes over the tub, the lid snaps on over the material. Probably overkill, but I also use 2 large rubber bands, meant for holding a garbage bag in place. One rubber band goes over the outer edge of the tub and the material, then the material is folded up over it and a the second rubber band is placed above the fold. Nobody escapes!! I was real careful about how close the lights were placed to the material. He eats bigger crickets now, and has gone back to his original cage, but I still use this as a place for him to go out and get some sun in the afternoons. Of course, I got laughed at for making it look like a basinette, but hey, it worked and cost about 5 bucks. I have posted a couple pics at: http://vrk.photosite.com/cage/ Valerie
