my ornate was taken to the vet, and they said that he is clean inside and told me to keep using mite sprays,because provent a mite works just as good as anything else besides pest strips and I have yet to notice any mites( he is on butcher paper with a ceramic rock in a 55 long) If there are any mites at all will they be able to hide in a ceramic rock? Also he is still eating 10-12 dusted large crickets a day, he also gets a pinkie every other day, can I feed him gold fish? He is still gentle, as if the people who sold him to me handled him since the first day they got him. He still has yet to bite or even attempt to whip. He almost seems inquisitve or curious about his surroundings. I let him free roam with me in the ferrets bin. It is about 8ft wide, 10 ft long, I used use as a ferret play pen. The sides are made of plexi glass and you cant see out or in. He is almost "playful" scurries out under some newspaper, then darts and starts poking his against you feet it is really a sight to see. Anyways I was just wondering is there any other tests I should have done? to make sure he is completely healthy, also I have read that these are very intelligent animals, is this true? and if so how intelligent.
