I have fed rats and hamsters without problem. I have heard that hamsters are a bit fatty and not good long term unless you are fattening up for breeding. She does seem to like them though- must be like a nice cream-cake(?). I am now feeding day-old chicks and she seems to prefer those to both mice, rats and hamsters. I know of others that feed their stock an exclusive diet of chicks without any (apparent) trouble. They are also cheap- I have just bought 200 for £5.00.

Is there anyone else feeding their Bloods chicks?

CJ
