Hey,
With animals that are having difficult sheds, I like to simply put a damp terry-cloth bath towel into their cage, and leave it there for at least 12-24 hours. (Soak the towel in warm water, and ring out excess water). There is no science to this. Just around shed time, if you know your herps shed date plus or minus a day, you can just as a matter of fact put one in their with him/her, regardless of a bad shed or not. This will facilitate the whole shedding process and ease the shed off, while at the same time giving him/her something to rub on, and providing the extra moisture needed.
