My mature, male veiled chameleon has developed several large, squishy warts on his sides. He's seen a vet twice but the vet knows nothing about the warts. They don't seem to pain him but they do interfere with his climbing because he'll often grab a wart instead of a branch and then he'll fall. In fact, he doesn't seem to be able to climb as well as he used to whether he grabs a wart or not. These things are huge, 1/2 to 3/4 inches in diameter. My questions: does anyone know what these things are and what caused them? Is there a cure? Is it natural for a 3 year old chameleon to lose his climbing ability? [ Hide Replies ]
