Since there are no simple recessive genetics involved in making Miamis (hence a snake cannot be "het for miami", the only thing you can go by is the look of the animal. Does it meet the classic definition of "miami phase" or not?

Here is the test I use for such things. I ask myself, "If I bought a miami sight-unseen from a breeder, and they sent me THIS snake, would I be disappointed when I opened the box?" If so, then it is not a miami; if not, label it miami and breed it for that look.

So, you have to ask yourself that question, it seems to me. For me ... well,it's not really my place to say. What really matters is what YOU think, isn't it?
