I have been living at the bottom of Black Mountain. It hasn't been to hot lately 80-low 90s but the black rocks sure absorb heat. The mountain is just like a big pile of rocks with lots of washes, places lizards love. I mostly see side blotched lizards, I think that's why the collared love hanging around. Baby lizard has almost a third black band and a fourth black spot below that. I think it's camouflage. I have also seen a sagebrush "bluebelly", speckled whiptail, and striped whiptail | ||
