They're not as hard as the clear "First Phillips Mfg." boxes, but they are harder than rubbermaids. They are slightly smaller than the rubbermaid 1.1 gal. shoeboxes, the lids fit real tight.

I used a soldering iron for he air holes.

I paid about $7, but with a little research there may be ways to get a deal on a case.

As long as we're on the topic of clear boxes....For people willing to spend the extra money for clear boxes, these 18x26 inch "Cambro Mfg." boxes work well for adult corns. You can find them at restaurant supply stores. The lids are sold seperately so you can use them in a lidless rack system or with lids on shelves, the lids are very secure.
