So I do not look as if I am promoting anyone just do a google search on ball python care. Anyway. you can house an adult in something like a 40 gal breeder. you can go anywhere from 10 gal and up between then. It all depends on how many times you want to get a new cage. Many will say ball pythons need a smaller cage when younger to feel secure (I disagree and do not think africa is too big for ball pythons). If they have a few hide options you will have no problems if you can keep the right temps and humidity. Other than that a big cage is just harder for you to keep clean and heat. 80-90 F for temps and 50-70 % humidity and bump it up higher during shed. HIDES are NEEDED and keep it clean. I use carpet for a substrate because it is one wall to wall piece and can be thrown away when the snake goes on it. When I am not rich enough to spend the 30 or 40 c per sq ft for all my cages...newspaper is it. Ok...have fun with a ball python | ||
