If you are going to use a hovabator, you need to get the expansion kit to make it taller, and keep the eggs sealed in an "egg box". I have built a fantastic incubator out of a very large cooler. IT holds the temps absolutely stable and can incubate as many as 4 to 6 clutches at a time. My incubator cost me about $160 bucks to build, and that includes a $100 thermostat. I've hatched several clutches of carpet and ball eggs, with pretty close to 100% hatch rate. E-mail me if you want and I can send you some directions for building one. | ||
