Paul gave advice to some of the same questions in an earlier post and wrote about how to house hacthlings and what to feed them so I won't repeat it now. But regarding whether to help the turtles out of their shell, no, don't do that. The babies may want to sit in the egg shell for a day or more, resting and absorbing their egg yolk. If you pull them out you could rupture the yolk sac. You can block the light so there won't be harsh lights or too much heat on the babies.



Be patient, they will crawl out on their own and hid in the substrate. When you see that, you can put them into their new hatchling habitat.
