The substrate is necessary b/c these chams need high humidity, thus a tank as opposed to cage.



you are right, the crix do hide and that is why I cup fed. one of mine only hunted so there were always a few crix loose but I always left food out for the crix so they wouldn't dine on my brevi's. ;/ Plus the chams slept on narrow branches that the crix rarely bothered to travel! lol
