I am breeding one of my two female veileds this week with my 14 month male veiled. I am looking to see when exactly I should breed her.



She laid a clutch of 35 infertile eggs the last week of July. The clutch before that was 34 eggs in the middle of April. The clutch before that was December 03'.



So far it looks like shes a pretty heavy egg-maker. I supplement with miner-all every three feedings, so once a week. I use vit-all gutload w/veggies and fruits. I use Calcimize water treatment which contains a tiny amount of calcium, which then gets ingested very rarely by this particular female (she has only had a drink from me maybe ten times in the 6 1/2 months that i've had her. 8.0 Reptiglo bulb.



I am thinking I should breed at the 2 1/2 month mark from her last clutch to avoid non-fertilization. She appears to have very hard-working ovaries, is in wonderful condition, and has been a DREAM to have lay infertile clutches (she laid wihtin 24 hours of starting, in her own plant pot, including a 12 hour sleep).



Even with the MINIMUM 15-day gestation period for veileds, this would allow for a full three month ( a few days or so) period between clutches. I am assuming she will take 25-35 days judging on egg-holding time with infertiles.



think I should breed her this week or in another week or so, cause a few days can make the difference!
