I found a very clever and cheap way to make one today. I used paper towels..but those dry out so quickly. SO today I got a sponge and cut it in half so its not so thick. I put half on the bottom and then put paper towels over it. Then I sewed the other half to the top. It's been a few hours now and is still nice and wet. (I use a ziplock container for the hide) Just thought I'd share in case anyone was having similar issues.
