Photos often make some pastels look normal and make some high-yellow balls look pastel. The main differences besides the intensity of coloring is that most pastels (in person) appear to have shades of different shades of gold, lemon-yellow and peach all layered one on the other. It almost looks like paint mottled onto the scales. They also have more purple colored heads and some even have smokey-white heads. Pastels also have greenish hazel eyes in some specimens.
