If you are providing the temperature gradient and hides, then the snake will choose what's best based on its needs. I've provided a nice hide with heat and sometimes it chooses to lay behind the hide and against the wall of the enclosure where there's only minimal heat, but that's what it wants to do. Snakes don't always obey the rules as we perceive the rules to be. Their behaviors are instinctive and not based on rational thought. [ Hide Replies ]
