Joe,
..I still get Reptiles every month but I do not look forward to it like I used to. There are still a few really good articles in it. It does seem that they made an editorial decision to dumb it down. It is now full of simple articles about the most commonly kept species. It would have been nice if they had left Reptile and Amphibian and Captive Breeding alone to publish something for literate experienced herpers.

>>Reptiles magazine went downhill starting from the day Russ Case took over as editor. I had been getting Reptiles regularly since 1994, but after a few years with Russ (I think I cancelled in late 2002), I just had to quit. Too many repeat topics on green iguanas, leopard geckoes, bla bla bla. The reader's submissions they chose had dumbed down. Ask the breeder became "ask the breeder for info on breeding corn snakes and leopard geckoes", and the overall appearance just didn't do it for me. The only aspect that stayed consistent was the Vet Q&A with Dr. Mader. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough for me to continue my subscription.

>>I've got eight years of refernce material in my closet, it's more than enough green iguana info I'll ever need!
