I cannot speak about the BB since I do not own any but most hatchlings can be fed once every 3-6 days. The size of the food item is the most important point. All most all young snakes seem to have that instinct to grow as quick as possible so they will be less likely to become prey. I have also heard many board members state that you can feed a young snake as much as it wants but it should taper down as the snake grows older.
