I have a 5 row stack of Vision cages and the ones on the top and the ones on the bottom have kane pads controlled by theromostats. All of the cages in between are run on Exoterra Heatwave(rheostst controlled). The kane pads have an optional rheostat you can get for them, its a proportional output so you might have to dink with it for a while to get it set right. They(kane pads) last forever and are more reuseable than other heat sources. The only down-side to them I can think of is that if they ran full on they'd get pretty hot. But if you had a space of around 1-2 inches between the cage and the pad, you could probably bypass thermo contol devices.
