Yeah, I've had anery looking stillborns as well, but last year I had 2 babies who were live, and had there yolks absorbed as normal - but were very small and really faded / light tails. I thought - keepers for sure, but within 2 days they brightened up and were average looking.

I've seen pics of a gravid female who had died, and was cut open to find a large number of full term babies, also appearing as though they were bleached out.
