It's true that some outdoor carpetings have treatments on them and can give chemical burns to your reptiles or offgas fumes that could cause respiratory problems or death. Some of the treatments include stain blockers, flame retardants, UV blockers to prevent fading and mildewcides.
I think we should all go out and burn down all the pet shops for charging such ridiculous prices and offering safe products for our reptiles. After all who needs them in this day and age of Wally World and the internet.
