I just got her yesterday from Northern Virginia Reptile Rescue at boxturtle.org It took almost two months for them to check out my references and go through the adoption process but it was worth it. I only had to pay for shipping.
I have a newbie question although I have a couple of Ball Pythons I don't have any adults other than this one and she is pretty big. I have not weighed her yet but she is over 4 ft long.
I have her in a big glass tank with a screened top lid and some weights on top but she is really strong.
My question is how big or heavy do the weights on top have to be to keep her contained? Can she push as hard as she can constrict? Do the weights have to be as heavy as cinder blocks? regular bricks? A large book? I don't want her to be able to push open her lid and escape.
