Although aquariums are probably not the best choice, they were at one time the only cage used when keeping bp's. My 35 year old has spent most of his life in a glass tank and he did just fine. Just make sure that whatever top you use is secure and built to withstand the occasional break out attempts of your bp....DON'T USE WEIGHTED OBJECTS TO HOLD IT DOWN. There are some advantages to glass tanks so don't be so quick to let others tell you to throw them away (now if you were keeping a burm in a glass tank, I would probably be giving you a lecture).
