Posted by: jayf at Tue Oct 26 23:04:58 2004 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by jayf ] snakes require hides to feel safe. the problem is that it should not be as much of a concern for you to see the snake as it is for the snake to feel safe. a snake that is not able to hide is likely to get stressed out and have problems in other areas such as feeding and health. the snake will get comfortable with its surroundings after a while and will not stay in the hides all the time. i highly recomend hides.
