do females mark their enviroment?

hello



Some nights ago I introduced my pair of BRBs for the first breeding trial. The supposed to be female got very nervous and it seemed that she marked the cage with her cloaka. can this be? I heard that only males show such a behaviour. I have to say that I didnīt check the sex by myself.
