Mine are very people friendly; got them as babies, and allowed several months of just letting them adjust to my going in the enclosure for maintenance. One will still run sometimes, but the other one will just sit there and let me stroke it. Haven't tried to pick it up yet, but I think I could. The trouble is that the little things are like greased lightening. If one runs up your arm (and it will!) it could be gone in a snap. I'd re-think taking one outside, but most seem to tolerate handling well. And even as babies, they sure are not afraid of much. Very curious, gutsy little things when you consider how small they are.
