Fluorex lighting??

Has anyone used the fluorex 65 watt lights for herps? They are advertised as having a pretty good spectrum, is it good enough for some herps, like geckos? It doesn't put out much heat. I use one on a fish tank and the plants grow like weeds...maybe an experiment is in order!
