Thanks for the information. The guyana RB's care requirements seem to be low in the temperature area, not much different than a crested gecko. Not sure I want to get an import because of the typical problems they can have, including mites and other external and internal parasites.



I just happened to notice a local petstore has one, and was curious about it. As the city I am in now has a size limit for boas can't get anything that is bigger than 6' as an adult. I didn't get a good enough look at it to tell if it had any mite problems (hard to tell when the cage is almost above my eye level and containing alot of cover) but if I do decide to get it, I will take a closer look at it (ie ask the store employee to let me examine it or hold it while I make sure there are no apparent signs of mites). The employees at this store seem to know what they are doing but I haven't questioned them about the care of the animals yet. I did see them feed dusted crickets to the lizards one time. Not nearly as much crickets as some things should eat at their apparent age, but they may feed 3 times a day for all I know.
