Burmese growth is really very basic and simple; The more they eat, the more they grow. It's really just that simple. Their growth in relation to how much they eat is comparable to a steam powered locomotive,... the more coal you shovel into it,. the faster it goes. If your burmese is not growing as fast as other peoples' burmese, then that would indicate that it is not eating as much, as often. The only two exceptions to this constant are, 1. If it were older, then it's growth rate would be markedly less, or, 2. If it had internal parasites then it couldn't derive the same nutrition from its meals that it would if it were parasite free. Now,. I doubt it is either of these scenarios,.. so I would guess that it is eating less food, less frequently. If you want your burm to grow more, feed it more often or increase the size of it's meals. They are designed to take down huge meals.

Secondly,.. the only way that a smaller cage would play a role in slowing a python's growth would be if it was so small that it was a direct cause of the snake having less of an appetite and thus eating less. Like if it depressed the snake due to lack of mobility. As pythons don't mind too much being in tight places, this is likely rare, but I am not by any means saying they shouldn't have large cages. I personally feel that one should provide large caging with ample space for their snakes. All I'm saying is that pythons do not fall into that "goldfish won't outgrow the fishbowl" catagory. As long as they are eating,. they will grow.

And lastly,. email me if you are interested in hearing of some cheap options for large caging. You don't have to spend 500 dollars to have a very nice cage.

>>Ok the risk of sounding like an idiot. What rate to burms usually grow at. Im more than prepared for its first half a year or year depending on its growth, having a 50 gallon tank ready for the snake to jump into when hes ready. And i have about 500 bucks so far for a big tank im planning to purchase from cages by design. How fast will it grow?

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Sytstems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>
